Dr. Michael McLean is a family doctor in Windsor, Ontario, originally from just south of Glasgow, Scotland. He values whole-person care, long-term relationships, and creating a welcoming space where patients feel heard and supported. His approach blends compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based medicine—whether he’s addressing a single concern or providing ongoing care.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2011 and completed residency training in Scotland, gaining experience in general practice, emergency medicine, surgery (general and orthopedic), stroke medicine, hospital medicine, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, and critical care. He moved to Windsor in 2018 and now runs a busy family practice and walk-in clinic serving patients across the region.

Dr. McLean also serves as Medical Director at Banwell Gardens Care Centre, working closely with nursing and care teams to support residents in long-term care. In 2025, he was appointed Adjunct Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, where he teaches and mentors medical students and residents.

Interests
Dr. McLean is passionate about timely, patient-centred care and improving healthcare systems. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa, and staying active through hypertrophy-focused strength training. He’s a lifelong sports fan—following Celtic FC, the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Pistons—and loves the camaraderie and shared stories that come with supporting his teams.
